Question of the day (May 18, 2007):

After the Enron/Worldcom debacles earlier this decade, righteous employees were relieved to see the Sarbanes Oxley act enacted into law because righteous employees believed that we could lower our guard and start objecting to those crimes that we were required to commit all those years as a condition of employment.

But reality set in when some of us more brave souls actually did lower our guard and started objecting to these crimes.

Was it reversible error for the legislative branch and executive branch of our United States government to enact a law that falsely gave an impression to righteous employees that obeying the law was once again something that Americans could go back to enjoying?

Should the 2008 potential Presidential candidates make it clear to the voters of whether or not they will enforce the laws on the books?

Will an employee in 2009 be able to object to hiring illegal aliens for loading and using stolen intellectual property without fear of retaliation?

Important Notice:

Sarbanes Oxley Article indicates that complexity of Sarbanes Oxley may do more harm then good. This is a direct quote from this article:

"The potential of tough penalties for any misstep makes auditors less likely to give advice on whether or not a company is complying with the law for fear of criminal prosecution."

Just today (May 17, 2007), whitehouse08.info received confirmation that the CEO of Deere and Company, Robert W. Lane, a member of the Verizon Audit Committee, may very well be deliberately avoiding what he has to know by now is an absolute Verizon criminal cover up. This article points out why the CEO of such a highly respected company may be willing to be an inactive participant in this criminal activity.

Whitehouse08.info proposes to potential Presidential candidates Brownback, Huckabee, Frist, Gingrich, and Fred Thompson, that if elected as head of the executive branch of government, they hire DOJ and DOL leaders who will enforce the retaliation clauses of Sarbanes Oxley. This would send a clear message to corporate executives and allow Congress to significantly reduce the paperwork complexity of Sarbanes Oxley, because criminal cover ups would then have a higher penalty then the intial fraud.

The pledge of allegience with "In God We Trust" said by public school students every morning would go significantly farther then any Sarbanes Oxley legislation could ever hope to acheive.

Laissez Faire, in real terms, simply means, let God run the economy.

Whitehouse08.info offers our respects to the family of Pastor Jerry Falwell. Pastor Falwell was truly a great man. Pastor Falwell would have been the first to let the world know that when the American Family Association (AFA) asked supporters of AFA to contact companies, including Verizon, who run commercials on pro-homosexual TV shows, nine of the ten were are at least polite. Verizon's response was to say "I love q...rs!" and hang up the phone on the caller

Sadly, there are those who fail to recognize the clear and direct coorelation between showing grave disrespect for life and the institution that procreates life, and grave disrespect for employees who object to being required to commit felonies as a condition of employment. God knows there is a coorelation and those of us strong in the spirit understand these basic principles of a civilized society.
